BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY BY ZURAB. ANOTHER SKIN PROJECT

Exploring night photography further I decided to create night pictures of the buildings and streets of London with a strong contrast between black and white involving geometry figures and interesting lines and angles through out the image. Huge inspiration I got from Brassai, Michael Kenna, Michel Rajkovic and Joel Tjintjelaar work.

I like the way bridge outstands from the background creating an interesting line of light projected on the water which fits picture very well.

That is one of my favorite pictures made during the nights in London. It has got perfect lines in it, different shapes, old style objects and a lot of really necessary light which gives strong contrast to the photo. These round lights on the ground, I think, are the main figures which make this photo special.

I call this picture "The Ghost House". Everything in it, including buildings, road and lights, reminds me fairy tail. The whole photo looks more like painting for me.

Longer exposure makes moving objects to look a little bit blured which gives an interesting effect to the picture above.

Quite strong difference between black and white colours some times makes the picture look completely different at the same time creating nice new shapes.

BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY

Really enjoyed Joel Tjintjelaar’s work. Simple but very artistic.

Black and white photography from Michel Rajkovic. Another great artistic work.
